On 15 November 2024, Margherita Acquaderni made a dream come true: with her successful 1,000 km FAI diploma flight in a Ventus 3M, she earned a place in the legendary Palm Avenue in Bitterwasser. This special tradition, which rewards outstanding achievements in gliding, brings together pilots from all over the world.
Bitterwasser once again proved to be a mecca for gliding: under optimal weather conditions, 20 launches were recorded in one day, 16 of which covered distances of over 1000 km. The performances of Guy Bechtold and Frerk Frommholz, who won the day with 1320 km, were outstanding. Margherita Acquaderni also celebrated a milestone by achieving her first FAI 1000 km diploma and thus earning the right to plant a palm tree in the famous Bitterwasser palm allée.
