Gerhard Marzinzik has passed away

The Bitterwasser PTY with all its friends worldwide mourns the death of Gerhard Marzinzik and his young co-pilot, who died in an glider accident in the Alps in the Puster Valley on 12 April 2022.

The line of trailers had long opened their mouths wide on Wednesday to finally accommodate the planes from Bitterwasser. But first, customs had to look inside the containers.

Great record despite Corona

The pandemic did not leave Bitterwasser untouched this season either. There were cancellations, and the temporary classification of Namibia as a virus variant area in turn was not conducive. But: 112 pilots have enjoyed gliding here in good health and not so unsuccessfully: In the worldwide ranking of the online contest, Bitterwasser is currently at the top of the list.
