The latest flagship from Jonker Sailplanes, the JS5 Rey, has successfully completed its first flight in Namibia - in the world-famous thermal oasis of Bitterwasser. Thanks to excellent weather conditions, several 1000-kilometer flights have already been achieved.
With the JS5, Jonker Sailplanes sets new standards in the open class. The development focused on a lightweight structure for optimum climbing in weak thermals and exceptional glide performance at high speeds with a wingspan of 24.2 meters.
We are excited to see what record flights will be possible with this glider in the future!
