With his own platform

Elmar Fischer has a good laugh. He can spend the entire Namibia season in Bitterwasser with his Arcus M. His co-pilots have to share the second seat behind him. First in line was ex-starfighter pilot Günter Weiss, who now had to say goodbye.

Elmar is dependent on his co-pilots, they have to take on the role of a safety pilot for him. With his disability Elmar is not allowed to pilot the Arcus alone. There is no manual control for the rudder pedals as there is for the Duo Discus. If you don't need too much rudder, you can do without such a control. Elmar: “I can do a little with my feet.” However, the Arcus also has the flap lever as an additional operating element. After all, the two were together on eight flights. On their last flight they had a hard fight against a wind up to 50 kph on the final approach.
The number one parking position in the palm alley for the Arcus "FI" is barrier-free. Getting in and out of the cockpit is made easy for the wheelchair driver Elmar with a concrete platform.
