The flight with Eurowings and the entry were completely problem-free. A PCR test, not older than 72 hours, the completed entry form from the Internet and proof of health insurance abroad were all we needed. For the return trip, we only had to fill out the online entry form and show proof of vaccination once.
Full Covid19 vaccination or proof of recovery (2G) is mandatory for our guests this year. Our staff at the lodge will also all be vaccinated twice by the season.
On 06.09. the first two containers will be loaded. 4 more on 11.and 12.September. Then 30 airplanes with the Golden Karoo go on a big trip. Arrival in Walvis Bay on 19.10.

Early October is the ideal time to prepare the runways for flight operations. You can land at the Bitterwasser Flying Lodge in every which direction—depending on how you look at it, on 8 runways (plus one emergency runway), each in two directions. Jeremias carefully levels the landing area over the course of several weeks.
