Merry Christmas

Fir trees do not grow in Namibia. Nevertheless, we didn't do without a Christmas tree in Bitterwasser. It stands a bit bony in front of the reception, but it is all the more colorful.

And still, developing Christmas feelings at around 35 degrees in the shade is difficult. But there are completely different gifts on the gift table here. Where can you make yourself happy with a nice cross-country flight on Christmas Eve? Our “Merry Christmas!” Is therefore sent from a completely different background to all friends around the world.

The rainy season is approaching

It's getting showery in southern Namibia. As the season progresses, the Inertropical Convergence Zone advances southward. In this air mass, showers and thunderstorms are now announced again and again.

Saturday is Braai day

This is already a tradition in Bitterwasser. There will be a barbecue on Saturday evening. Then Daniel, who has just stood in for chef Louis in the kitchen for two weeks, is the master at the fire.
