Heading into the wind

Bitterwasser is lucky enough to always take off and land against the wind due to the large pan.

The pan has a diameter of 3 kilometers and is therefore very pleasant for take-offs and landings. Instead of runways, the pan contains 8 different landing directions. This means you can always align the glider perfectly with the wind.

And even if the pan is wet, there are 2 alternative runways at the hangar.

This means that there are no complications even in the evening when there is a lot of landing activity, and a regulated take-off procedure is also ensured in the morning.
