Bitterwassercup winner 2023

Patrick Benoist is still raving about his stay in Bitterwasser in 2022.

After this vacation, one thing was clear to him: he definitely wants to come back. He loved the incredibly good thermals and the fact that he could simply fly for 8 hours.

Patrick heard about the Bitterwasser Cup during his last stay. The best 6 flights according to OLC Plus rules are judged - the prize: an 8-day all-inclusive stay in Bitterwasser. The young pilot got ambitious and put in a good effort at his Feuerstein airfield near Nuremberg in the 2023 season.

And with complete success! He won this year's Bitterwasser Cup with 3 flights over 1000 kilometers and another three great flights over 890 km, 869 km and 914 km respectively.

Patrick has now arrived safely in Bitterwasser and has been exploring Namibian airspace with the Ventus 3M for several days now.

In Europe Christmas is usually associated with cold temperatures, early sunsets and, in the best case scenario, snow. In Bitterwasser, the world looks very different.
