Christmas in Bitterwasser – at 33°C and glorious sunshine
In Europe Christmas is usually associated with cold temperatures, early sunsets and, in the best case scenario, snow. In Bitterwasser, the world looks very different.
And despite daily temperatures of between 35 and 39 degrees, the atmosphere is cozy. The traditional Advent wreath has been given its very own African touch. The palm leaves from the lodge have been artfully arranged into a wreath. Now a new candle can be lit every Sunday.
Bitterwasser wishes you a wonderful first Advent!
